Tender Description
Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) Karachi invites bids for the supply of Assorted Jam Individual 15g Cups for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is managed by the Purchases Flight Kitchen Section, Supply Chain Management Department at PIACL Head Office Karachi Airport. The tender reference number is FSD-26010026A.
The scope includes supply of approximately 480,000 individual 15g cups of assorted jam flavors including Strawberry, Orange Marmalade, Black Current, Apricot, Mango, Red Blood Orange, Peach, Lemon, and Ginger Marmalade. The quantity may be split into 30% and 70% portions, with the larger portion being zero-rated for GST exemption on international flights. Delivery is required in four equal installments with 60 days gap or as mutually agreed. The first delivery must be made within 15 days of purchase order receipt. Packaging must meet industrial standards suitable for multiple loadings and transport.
Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR and hold active GST registration. Earnest Money of PKR 350,000 must be submitted with the technical proposal in the form of a pay order from a scheduled bank. Tender cost is PKR 20,000 non-refundable. Quality samples of 10 to 15 cups per flavor must be submitted with the technical bid. Authorized manufacturers or their distributors with valid authorization certificates may participate. Bidders must comply with hygienic standards and delivery schedules as per tender terms.
The tender follows a Single Stage Two Envelope procedure with technical proposals opened first and financial proposals opened only for technically qualified bidders. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS by 01-07-2026 at 10:30 AM. Original bid security must be submitted physically before the deadline. Manual bids without EPADS submission are not accepted. The tender opening will be held on the same day at 11:00 AM in the presence of bidders.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documents including pay orders, samples, technical literature, and company profiles are complete and submitted as per instructions. Late submissions or incomplete bids will be rejected. Also, ensure samples are unbranded except for temporary identification stickers to avoid disqualification.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for suppliers experienced in food product packaging and supply to a major national airline. Strict adherence to delivery timelines and quality standards is essential to avoid penalties and ensure contract success.
