Tender Description

The Inspector General of Sindh Prisons & Corrections Service Karachi invites bids for the supply of cooked food to inmates of Central Prison & Correctional Facility Karachi for the fiscal year 2026-2027. This procurement is specific to Karachi and involves providing three meals daily including breakfast, mid-day, and evening meals, as well as special diets during Ramazan and on special occasions such as Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Pakistan Day, Independence Day, and Sindh Cultural Day. The technical scope includes preparation and delivery of cooked food according to a detailed fortnightly diet menu and scale, ensuring quality, hygiene, and quantity standards. The contractor must supply fresh and wholesome food items including wheat flour, cooking oil, tea, milk, sugar, pulses, vegetables, chicken, beef, and other specified ingredients. The contract also mandates maintenance of kitchen hygiene, proper cooking utensils, and employment of trained cooks certified by Sindh Food Authority or Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management. Eligibility criteria require bidders to have at least three years of catering experience in Zone-B prisons, valid registrations with FBR, Sindh Revenue Board, Sindh Food Authority, and active GST certificates. A bid security of Rs. 435,000,000 in the form of pay order, demand draft, bank guarantee, or CDR is mandatory.
