Tender Description
Border Health Services-Pakistan Karachi is procuring a comprehensive range of drugs and medicines for the financial year 2025-26. This procurement covers supply to Karachi headquarters and sub-offices across all provinces including Sindh, Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit Baltistan. The tender includes a wide variety of pharmaceutical products such as tablets, capsules, syrups, injections, creams, ointments, and other medical supplies essential for federal government health facilities.
The technical scope requires bidders to provide quality drugs with proper packaging, including strips, blister packs, jars, and tins with seals. Each item must be accompanied by analysis certificates from Central Drugs Laboratory or DRAP before submission. Suppliers must ensure compliance with the Drugs Act 1976 and DRAP Act 2012, including warranty certificates and batch analysis at delivery. The tender mandates that prices should not exceed the trade price fixed by the Ministry of National Health Services. Suppliers must also submit samples and adhere to strict quality standards to avoid disqualification.
Eligible bidders include manufacturers, importers, and suppliers registered with sales tax and income tax departments, compliant with PPRA rules. Registration certificates, valid licenses, and ISO certifications are required. The tender follows a single-stage two-envelope procedure with separate technical and financial bids. Earnest money in the form of a pay order or bank draft amounting to 1% of the total tender cost but not less than Rs. 400,000 must be submitted as security deposit.
The tender was published on 6th May 2026, with a submission deadline on 20th May 2026 at 12:00 PM. Bids will be opened the same day at 2:00 PM. Submission must be addressed to the Director, Border Health Services-Pakistan, Karachi, and marked clearly for supply of drugs and medicines.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all samples and analysis certificates are complete and submitted before the deadline, as any missing documentation will lead to disqualification. Attention to detail in filling the tender proforma and timely submission can significantly improve chances of success.
