Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply and installation of furniture at the Custom Complex in Sost, Gilgit-Baltistan, under the Collectorate of Customs Gilgit-Baltistan (FBR). The procurement falls under the Furniture & Furnishings category and is planned for the financial year 2025-26. The project includes a wide range of furniture items such as executive desks, revolving chairs, conference tables, sofas, beds, dining sets, and various wooden tables and racks, all designed to meet high standards of quality and durability suitable for office and residential use in the complex.
The furniture must be manufactured from premium materials like solid Sheesham and Mahogany wood, with specifications ensuring proper seasoning, moisture control, and termite resistance. The design emphasizes ergonomic and modern aesthetics with smooth finishes and functional features such as lockable storage, cable management, and upholstered seating. Delivery and installation are to be completed within six weeks of contract award, with strict adherence to approved samples and shop drawings. The site is located in Sost, Hunza, requiring careful coordination for transportation and installation.
Bidders must be registered furniture manufacturers with SECP and active on the FBR Active Taxpayers List. Compliance with PEC categories and FBR regulations for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory. Bid security of PKR 400,000 is required, and performance guarantees must be submitted within 14 days of award. The contract includes a one-year warranty period with a 15-day defect correction timeframe. Payment terms include 15% advance against bank guarantee, 65% on delivery and inspection, and 20% upon final acceptance.
The submission deadline is set for Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM via the EPADS v2.0 online portal, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Hard copies of bid security must be submitted physically to designated offices in Islamabad. The physical address for clarifications includes the Office of the Chief Projects at FBR HQ and NESPAK House, Islamabad.
Pro-Tip: Ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and carefully review the bid security submission requirements. Missing the physical submission of bid security before the deadline will lead to disqualification. Also, verify all technical specifications and sample approvals to avoid rejection during evaluation.
