Tender Description
The Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (IDAP) invites bids for the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of medical furniture local (Package No. 16, LOT-B) for the establishment of the Federal Government Polyclinic (PGMI)-II located at G-11/3, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically managed by IDAP, based in Lahore, Punjab, but the project site is Islamabad. The scope includes a wide range of medical furniture items such as bassinets, instrument cabinets, examination couches, controlled drug cupboards, dressing trolleys, footsteps, patient stools, bedpan racks, scrub stations, IV stands, surgeon steps, patient note trolleys, wheelchairs, shoe racks, solvent storage cabinets, multi-drawer cabinets, swab racks, heavy-duty examination couches, polished hardwood chairs, height-adjustable mayo tables, and stainless steel instrument trolleys.
The technical specifications require high-quality materials such as stainless steel 304, powder coating, tempered glass, and medical-grade foam. The furniture must meet stringent quality standards including smooth welding, noise prevention, and durability. The delivery is on DDP basis with a delivery period of 120 days from the issuance of the supply order, followed by installation and commissioning within 30 days. Bidders must be registered on EPADS and submit bids electronically by 15:00 HRS PST on 15th July 2026. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 15:30 HRS PST at IDAP Lahore office.
Eligibility criteria include valid registration with SECP or relevant authorities, NTN and sales tax registration, affidavit of non-blacklisting, submission of bid security, and manufacturer authorization. PEC category and FBR/ATL registration are required where applicable. Experience in supplying similar medical furniture to medical institutions in Pakistan is essential. The bid security amount is Rs. 300,000. The successful bidder must provide a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the contract value and warranty for 12 months from commissioning, with an option for a 5-year extended warranty and maintenance contract.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all required documents including original bid security, manufacturer authorization, and compliance certificates are submitted on EPADS before the deadline to avoid disqualification. Also, attending the pre-bid meeting on 6th July 2026 at IDAP Lahore office can provide valuable clarifications. Bidders should carefully review the technical specifications and ensure their products meet or exceed the requirements to be considered responsive. The submission must be complete with technical and financial proposals in separate envelopes on EPADS.
