Tender Description
The Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (IDAP) invites bids for the supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mortuary equipment (Package No. 29) for the establishment of the Federal Government Polyclinic (PGMI)-II located at G-11/3, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically for mortuary equipment including body storage refrigerators, elevating trolleys, body transport trolleys, body concealment trolleys, and autopsy tables with associated instruments and accessories.
The technical scope covers delivery on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis, including all customs clearance, transportation, installation, and commissioning at the site. The equipment must meet detailed technical specifications such as stainless steel construction, hydraulic lifting mechanisms, refrigeration with digital temperature control, and comprehensive autopsy instruments. The supplier is responsible for any required electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work for installation. Warranty includes a 12-month period with an option for a 5-year extended comprehensive maintenance contract covering parts, consumables, and labor.
Eligible bidders must be manufacturers or authorized agents with valid PEC registration, FBR/ATL registration, and proven experience supplying similar medical equipment to Pakistani medical institutions. Joint ventures are allowed with a nominated lead member. Bidders must submit earnest money in the form of a CDR or bank guarantee and comply with all bid submission requirements on the EPADS platform.
The bid submission deadline is 9th July 2026 at 14:00 PST, with technical bids opening the same day at 14:30 at IDAP Lahore office. Bidders should ensure all documents, including technical and financial proposals, are complete and submitted electronically via EPADS. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 30th June 2026 at 11:00 PST at IDAP Lahore.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the technical specifications and ensure all required documents, including manufacturer authorization and compliance certificates, are uploaded on EPADS before the deadline. Late or incomplete submissions will be rejected. Also, original bid security must be delivered physically to IDAP Lahore office before bid submission time to avoid disqualification.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified suppliers to contribute to a key healthcare infrastructure project in Islamabad with clear guidelines on procurement rules, evaluation criteria, and contract conditions.
