Tender Description
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) through its Chief Engineer (Power) GB at the WAPDA GB Power Complex Barotha-Attock is procuring a Welding Plant specifically for the Mechanical (Plant) and Mechanical Workshop. This procurement is aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of the workshop located in Attock, Punjab. The scope includes supply and installation of welding equipment suitable for heavy mechanical works and plant maintenance. The contract duration is 90 days from the issuance of the purchase order, emphasizing timely delivery and installation.
Eligible bidders must be manufacturers or authorized distributors registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax departments and listed on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the FBR. Experience in supplying similar welding plants and PEC registration in relevant categories will be advantageous. Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit in the form of a CDR amounting to PKR 83,500 in favor of the Chief Engineer (Power) GB, WAPDA Power Complex Barotha-Attock.
The tender documents are available electronically on the EPADS portal (www.eprocure.gov.pk). Electronic bids must be submitted via EPADS by 03-06-2026 at 11:00 AM. Manual bids will not be accepted. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM in the Conference Room of the Main Office Building at the GB Power Complex Colony Barotha-Attock.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that the original bid security reaches the office of the Chief Engineer (Power) GB before the bid closing time to avoid disqualification. Also, carefully review the technical specifications in the e-bidding documents to align your offer with WAPDA's requirements and avoid common pitfalls in the technical bid submission process.
