Tender Description
The Provincial Highway Division Jamshoro is inviting bids for the widening and reconditioning of the road as a dual carriage way from Indus Highway Johi Morr Bhan Syedabad to Pir Shakh via Dargah Talib Shah Bukhari (Old Alignment of Indus Highway) I/C M/S Mile 0/0-2/3 covering a length of 3.80 kilometers. This project is a significant infrastructure development aimed at improving traffic flow and road safety in the region of Jamshoro, Sindh.
Items being procured:
- Excavation in existing berm for widening the road including preparation of sub-grade
- Making diagonal grooves in road surface
- Earthwork for road embankment by bulldozers with compaction
- Preparing base course by supplying and spreading stone metal in layers
- Laying brick on end edging including supply of first class burnt bricks
- Providing and fixing precast edge blocks
- Preparing sub-base course with stone metal and pit/canal sand
- Two coat surface dressing with bitumen and bajri
- 2" thick asphalt concrete wearing course
- Supplying and fixing reflectorized road studs
- Pavement marking with reflective thermo plastic paint
- Painting corrugated surfaces
- Fixing village boards, caution boards, and kilometer RCC posts
- Construction of 3' feet span culvert including excavation, cement concrete, steel reinforcement, and RCC work
- Construction of 20' feet span box bridge with excavation, cement concrete, shuttering, steel reinforcement, and RCC work
- Drain nala construction with excavation, cement concrete, steel reinforcement, and RCC work
- Pedestrian path with cement concrete, hard murrum spreading, cement paving blocks, and painting
The technical scope includes earthworks, asphalt paving, concrete works, steel reinforcement, drainage structures, and road safety installations. The site is located in Jamshoro and requires compliance with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) regulations and registration with relevant tax authorities. Bidders must demonstrate experience in large-scale road construction projects and provide a technical proposal detailing their construction methodology and schedule.
The estimated cost of the project is **PKR 530.409 million**. The bid security is set at 5% of the estimated cost. The bid validity period is 90 days.
