Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) through its Project Management Unit (PMU) invites bids for the procurement of 132KV, 36MVAR Capacitor Banks (90x400KVAR) along with Capacitor Racks, Foundation Bolts for Capacitor Racks, and all allied accessories. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and is based in Multan, Punjab. The items being procured are:
- 132KV, 36MVAR Capacitor Banks (90x400KVAR)
- Capacitor Racks
- Foundation Bolts for Capacitor Racks
- All allied accessories
The technical scope requires compliance with NTDC Specification P-192:94 (amended to date) and IEC standards. The goods must be delivered within 120 days to MEPCO's warehouse on Khanewal Road, Multan. Bidders must provide valid type test reports or undertake fresh type tests at their own cost. The tender follows a Single Stage-Two Envelope procedure with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique. Eligibility criteria include PEC category compliance, FBR/ATL registration, and proven experience with at least two contracts of similar or higher rating in the last ten years, and a minimum of five years manufacturing experience. The offered equipment must have been in satisfactory operation for at least three years with supporting certificates.
The bid submission deadline is Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 10:30 AM via EPADS v2.0. Manual submissions are not accepted. Bid security must be submitted physically before the deadline.
