Tender Description
The Purchase Department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad Capital Territory, invites sealed bids through EPADS v2.0 for the procurement of a 1600 kVA Diesel Generator System. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 under tender reference P89980. Items being procured include:
- 1600 kVA Prime Rated Diesel Generator (400/230V, 3Ø, 50 Hz, 1500 RPM, PF 0.8)
- 4-stroke turbocharged water-cooled engine
- Brushless alternator with AVR (±1%)
- Class H insulation
- Microprocessor controller
- 4-pole ATS (~2300A) with electrical & mechanical interlocking
- Complete power & control cabling
- Neutral & body earthing (≤2 ohms)
- Skid base with minimum 8-hour fuel tank
- Exhaust system with insulated piping & silencer
- RCC foundation & grouting
- Weather & soundproof canopy (14 SWG, 100 mm acoustic insulation, ≤84 dBA @1m)
- Load testing up to 100%
- Commissioning
- O&M manuals
- OEM-certified operational & maintenance training for PIMS staff
- Complete wiring including 120 mm 4 core LT cable of estimated length 150 meters
The scope covers supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and training at PIMS Hospital, Sector G-8/3, Islamabad. Bidders must be registered with PEC in category C6 with a Mechanical Engineer attached and provide valid OEM authorization certificates. The bid security and performance guarantees are required as per bidding documents. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by **Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM**. Technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual bids will not be accepted.
