Addition of 01 No. 500/220KV 450MVA Auto Transformer Bank at 500KV Grid Station Dadu

The National Grid Company (NGC) of Pakistan invites bids for the addition of 01 No. 500/220KV 450MVA Auto Transformer Bank at the 500KV Grid Station Dadu. This tender is issued by the Project Director (EHV-II), NGC, located in Multan, and the work site is at Dadu, Sindh. The procurement covers complete civil works, transportation, erection/installation, testing and commissioning of the transformer bank and associated switchyard infrastructure. Items being procured: - Construction of equipment foundations, switchyard paths, transformer ways, trenches with covers, draw pits, culverts and associated civil works - Transportation of main electrical equipment from NGC warehouses at Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Jamshoro, Hyderabad to the project site - Erection and installation of overhead strain/rigid bus work, transformer take-off conductors, shield wires - Conductor/rigid tubular equipment interconnection work - Switchyard lightning protection - Substation underground earthing system and its connection with equipment - Providing and laying of gravel in switchyard - Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of switchyard lighting system including lights, cables, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, relays, boxes, sensors, control equipment, pipes/conduits, fixtures and fittings - Necessary extensions in existing trenches and control house building if required - Any other work necessary for completion and successful operation of the project The scope excludes installation, wiring, testing and commissioning of secondary equipment such as control panels, relay panels, metering panels, marshaling kiosks, AC/DC auxiliary panels, event and fault recorders, and related cabling. The contractor is responsible for timely coordination with secondary equipment contractors. The contract requires compliance with all applicable environmental, social, labor, occupational health and safety (OHS), and community health and safety measures as specified in the contract and applicable laws. The contractor must be licensed by PEC in the relevant category, registered on the Active Taxpayers List, and not blacklisted by any government or donor agency. Experience requirements include completion of similar 500kV grid station works within the last 10 years. The contract duration is 180 days from commencement or 45 days from final approved shutdown, whichever is later. Bidders must submit bids through EPADs by 12 August 2026 before 1100 HRS. The bid security amount is Rs. 8,000,000. The contract will be awarded on a single stage two envelope basis.
