Tender Description
This corrigendum announces important amendments to the bidding documents for PRQ No.1742, originally published on 07.10.2026 by the Energy Department. The procurement involves installation of Solar Hybrid Systems, requiring bidders to meet updated eligibility criteria and technical qualifications.
Items being procured:
- Installation of Solar Hybrid Systems
The amendments specify that firms must have successfully completed at least one similar project involving installation of Solar Hybrid Systems with a value of 40% or more of the total project cost in any government sector within the last five years. Alternatively, firms may qualify by having registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) at category C-4 or above (up to 200 million) and specialized Code EE05 (High Voltage). Another eligibility route is completion of similar works with a value of 30% or more of the total project cost in the last five years. Additionally, firms must have ongoing works of similar nature with a minimum value of 30% of the total project cost.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the amended bidding documents available for download. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
This tender is issued by the Energy Department. Interested firms should ensure compliance with PEC registration and relevant experience criteria. Earnest Money and bid security requirements should be confirmed from the amended documents.
The closing date for submission is 29 October 2026. Bidders should submit their bids as per instructions in the amended documents. It is recommended to verify all technical and financial requirements thoroughly before submission to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their PEC registration and specialized codes are up to date and clearly documented in their technical bid to meet the stringent eligibility criteria outlined in this corrigendum.
