Annual Contract for Repair & Maintenance of Street Lights of Various Roads of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in District South

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Annual Contract for Repair & Maintenance of street lights on various roads within District South of Karachi. This contract covers comprehensive maintenance and repair works to ensure street lighting infrastructure remains functional and safe throughout the financial year 2026-27. Items being procured include: - Providing & laying PVC insulated & PVC sheeted copper conductor cables of various sizes (1.5mm2, 2.5mm2, 4mm2, 16mm2, 25mm2) - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles of 31ft and 40ft lengths with base plates, holes, stiffeners, and rust preventive painting - Construction of RCC foundations for poles including excavation, stone soiling, lean concrete, bolts, and templates - Manufacturing and fixing GI single arm double arch, double arm canopy type, angle iron brackets, and flood light fittings - Providing and fixing flood lights of 250W, 400W (SON and LED), LED street lights of various wattages, LED down lights, tunnel lights, velocity type street lights, and RGB flood lights - Installation of circuit breakers, magnetic contractors, photo cells, earthing sets, and distribution boards - Dismantling of old street light fittings, brackets, and poles with transportation to KMC workshop - Painting of street light/high mast poles with two coats of oil paint - Providing and fixing ABC bundle cables and connectors - Fabrication work to reduce height of existing poles - Construction of RCC New Jersey barrier type foundations - Repairing existing CC collars and making windows in poles - Providing PVC tape, stay wires with concrete foundation, and LED light components including surge protect devices and drivers The technical scope requires all materials to be new, conforming to relevant standards, and installation to be performed with hydraulic cranes and manual labor as per site requirements and instructions of the Engineer Incharge. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in C-6, EE-06 or above, NTN and SRB registration, valid Electric Contractor License from Sindh Electrical Inspector Karachi Region, PEC registered engineer on staff, and proven experience of similar works in the last five years with financial soundness demonstrated by bank statements and turnover. The estimated cost of the contract is **PKR 20,000,000** with a bid security of 5% of the estimated cost. Tender cost is PKR 5,000. Bids must be submitted in a single stage one envelope method.
