Annual Contract for Repair & Maintenance of Street Lights of Various Roads of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in District West

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the Annual Contract for Repair & Maintenance of street lights of various roads in District West, Karachi. This contract covers comprehensive repair and maintenance services for street lighting infrastructure to ensure safety and illumination across the district. Items being procured: - Providing & laying PVC insulated & PVC sheeted cables of various sizes (1.5mm2, 2.5mm2, 4mm2, 16mm2, 25mm2) - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles of 31ft and 40ft lengths with base plates and stiffeners - Construction of RCC foundations for poles including excavation, stone soiling, and reinforcement - Manufacturing and fixing GI single arm double arch, double arm canopy type, angle iron brackets - Providing and fixing flood lights of 250W, 400W (HPIT, SON, LED), LED street lights (various wattages), LED down lights, tunnel lights, velocity type street lights - Providing and fixing circuit breakers, magnetic contractors, photo cells - Providing and fixing earthing sets with copper plates - Dismantling of street light fittings, brackets, poles including transportation - Providing ABC bundle cables and connectors - Painting of street light/high mast poles with two coats of oil paint - Fabrication work to reduce height of existing poles - Construction of RCC foundation New Jersey barrier type - Repairing existing CC collars - Providing and fixing distribution boards, foundation cages, MS single arm brackets, GI four and triple arm brackets - Providing PVC tape, stay wires with foundation - Providing components of LED lights including surge protect devices and drivers The technical scope includes all materials, installation, testing, and commissioning as per specifications and instructions of the Engineer Incharge. Bidders must be registered with PEC in category C-6, EE-06 or above, hold valid NTN and Sindh Revenue Board registration, possess a valid Electric Contractors License from the Electrical Inspector Government of Sindh (Karachi Region), and have a PEC registered engineer on staff. Experience of similar works executed in the last five years is mandatory with proof of work orders and completion certificates. Financial soundness is required with a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. The estimated cost of the contract is **PKR 20,000,000** with a bid security of 5% of the estimated cost. Tender cost is Rs. 5,000. Bids must be submitted in a single envelope by **02-10-2026 at 02:00 PM** at the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road Gurumandir Karachi. The bid opening will be held on the same day at 2:30 PM. Earnest money in the form of bid security must accompany the bid. The contract includes a performance security of 5% of the estimated cost. Liquidity damages of Rs. 3,000 per day will be imposed for late completion. The procurement method is Single Stage One Envelope.
