AUCTION: Minor Minerals Lease of Whole District Hangu as One Unit

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. The District Auction Committee of District Hangu invites applications from registered contractors of Minor Minerals for participation in auction and grant of Minor Mineral lease of the whole District Hangu as a one unit under provision of section 78 subsection (3) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Mineral Act 2017, for a period of one year on the basis of 'As is where is' against reserve price of **Rs. 1,408,000/-**, and call deposit of **Rs. 352,000/-** in the office of Deputy Commissioner Hangu on 13/10/2026 at 11:00 am. In case of non-auction due to any reason, next date of auction will be 14/10/2026 at 11:00 am. Items being auctioned: - Minor Minerals Lease of Whole District Hangu as a One Unit Only persons or firms registered with Directorate General Mines & Minerals Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Minor Minerals Contractors can participate. Interested parties can register themselves with the Directorate General Mines & Minerals Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Application form cost is Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) non-refundable, to be submitted at least three (03) days before the auction. Blacklisted or defaulting persons and those not registered with Directorate General Mines and Minerals are not allowed to participate. Interested parties can visit and check the advertised areas before auction; sketches are available at the office of the undersigned. Call deposit shall be deposited under account No. 0066-2008140092 and application fee under account No. 0066-2008209319 in any branch of Bank of Khyber. Applicants must submit attested copies of CNIC, NTN, partnership deed/article & memorandum of association, and evidence of paid-up capital if applicable. The successful bidder shall deposit one-fourth of the total bid money as security within three days from the auction date, or the call deposit will be forfeited. The bid of the second highest bidder will be considered highest if the difference between first and second highest bids is not more than 10%. The successful bidder shall demarcate the leased area within fifteen days at their own expense and pay excise duty to the Commissionerate of Mines or its approved contractor as per government rates. Before issuance of allotment letter, the successful bidder must deposit withholding tax under Rule-236-A of ITO2011 with Income Tax Department and Professional Tax as per Excise & Taxation Deptt rules. The successful bidder will pay surface rent to the landowner under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Minerals Act 2017 and work strictly in accordance with the Act's provisions. Only verified challans for transportation of minor minerals verified by the concerned Assistant Director are allowed; unauthorized transportation will lead to action under section-56 of the Act. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid with cogent reason.
