Tender Description
National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC), formerly NTDC, invites sealed bids from eligible firms for electrical power-transmission works associated with the Jamphair II Grid Station. The procurement covers the erection, installation, testing and commissioning of a 220/132 kV, 160 MVA Auto Transformer. The work is intended for the national power transmission system and will be administered by the Executive Engineer, TLC Division, EHV-II, NGC Hyderabad.
Mandatory scope and item list: Item 1, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of one 220/132 kV, 160 MVA Auto Transformer at 220 kV Grid Station Jamphair II. The notice does not provide a separate bill of quantities, lot schedule, unit rate table or additional item breakdown; detailed quantities, specifications, drawings and contractual requirements are contained in the bidding documents.
Bidders must demonstrate successful execution during the last five years of at least one 220 kV or higher-rated substation, power house switchyard or similar construction contract. Required experience includes civil works, erection, testing and commissioning of at least one 220 kV or higher-rated transmission-line bay and one complete 220 kV or higher-rated transformer bay. The relevant switchyard must have operated successfully for at least two years before the bid deadline. Joint ventures and approved subcontractors may qualify subject to documentary evidence, completion certificates, client references, contract agreements and notarized performance certificates where applicable.
Bidders must possess or arrange the key construction and erection equipment listed in the bidding documents, supported by catalogues, drawings and evidence of availability. Firms must hold valid income-tax and provincial sales-tax registrations, appear on the Federal Board of Revenue Active Taxpayers List, and maintain appropriate Pakistan Engineering Council registration. Each bid requires security of not less than **Rs. 600,000** in the prescribed form.
Bids must reach **National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC)**, B-2 NTPS Colony, T.M Khan Road, S.I.T.E Area, Hyderabad, Pakistan, by **10:00 hours on September 3, 2026**. Technical bids will open at **11:30 hours on September 3, 2026** at the same location. Obtain documents from the Executive Engineer during office hours.
