Tender Description
The Town Municipal Corporation Ibrahim Hyderi, District Malir, Karachi, invites bids for the provision, fixing, and installation of a new Balti pump with complete accessories, along with repair and maintenance of centrifugal motors, pumps, and other electrical accessories at the Water Supply Scheme Hospital Chowrangi, UC Muslimabad. This procurement is part of the annual works plan for the financial year 2026-2027 and aims to improve water supply infrastructure in the area.
Items being procured:
- Rewinding and repair of 50 H.P centrifugal motors with copper wiring, clutch carbon bush, and bearing replacement
- Providing and fixing magnetic contactors and circuit breakers of various capacities
- Installation of imported Balti submersible pump with foundation and heavy-duty coupling
- Fabrication and fitting of G.I. pipes, flanges, elbows, bands, and non-return valves
- Installation of starter panel board with circuit breakers, indication lamps, EOCR, and magnetic contactors
- Supervision and installation of G.I. accessories, panel boards, and laying cables for motor and generator connections
The technical scope includes comprehensive electrical and mechanical works involving high-quality materials and imported equipment. The site is located near the Main National Highway Road near Benazir, Karachi. Bidders must have valid PEC registration in the relevant category, Sindh Revenue Board registration, NTN certificate, and at least five years of relevant experience. Firms should demonstrate a turnover of 2 to 4 million PKR over the last three years and hold a valid professional tax certificate. Additionally, a valid electrical license from the Sindh inspectorate is required. Bidders must provide affidavits confirming no litigation, blacklisting, or delays in government contracts.
The bid security is 5% earnest money valid for 90 days, and the contract period is 90 days from the written order to commence work. Bids must be submitted by 07-09-2026 at 2:00 PM to the office of the Executive Engineer (M&E), TMC Ibrahim Hyderi, District Malir, Karachi. The bid opening will take place the same day at 3:00 PM. The contract includes clauses for liquidated damages, quality control, and dispute resolution as per SPPRA rules.
