Call for Research Proposals Sindh Research Support Programme (SRSP) 2026-27

The Sindh Higher Education Commission, Government of Sindh, invites innovative research proposals from accomplished and strongly motivated regular (PhD or FCPS/MCPS/FRCS) faculty members of Public Sector Universities and Degree Awarding Institutes of Sindh province. This call is specifically for the Sindh Research Support Programme (SRSP) 2026-27, aimed at fostering research in various disciplines. Items being procured: - Research proposals in Natural & Physical Sciences - Medical & Allied Sciences - Engineering & Technology - IT and Computer Science - Social Sciences - Management Sciences - Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Sciences - Urban Planning - Environmental Sciences - Life Sciences The maximum funding for a project under SRSP will be up to Rs. 5 million, and the research grant will be provided for a duration of two years. Preference will be given to collaborative research proposals addressing provincial issues such as Climate Change, Food Security, Water Management, Sustainable Energy & Economy, Public Health, AI, Digital Transformation, Emerging Technologies, and Educational Reforms with commercialization potential and alignment with SDGs. Eligibility criteria include being a full-time regular PhD or FCPS/MCPS/FRCS faculty member (BPS/TTs) in a Public Sector University or Degree Awarding Institute. Applicants can apply for only one SRSP project as Principal Investigator and can hold only one SRSP grant at a time as Principal Investigator. Proposals must be submitted on the prescribed form available at the official website https://sindhhec.gov.pk along with necessary documents. The proposal should be endorsed by the Director ORIC and Head of Universities/HEI and sent to the undersigned. The application form and other documents must be emailed in a single PDF file to ad.academics@sindhhec.gov.pk. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The submission deadline is 23 October 2026. This opportunity is only for eligible candidates who have not received this award in the previous two years.
