Tender Description
Pakistan Mint Lahore invites sealed bids for the procurement of Carbon Bonded Silicon Carbide Crucibles and related items under contract number P149277. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 platform. The items being procured include:
- Carbon Bonded Silicon Carbide Crucible (Suprex brand or equivalent) with capacity of 300 kg, pouring temperature max 1400 C, dimensions specified in the bidding documents
- Muffle Ring compatible with the crucible
- Crucible Stand compatible with the crucible
- Crucible knob Cover compatible with the crucible
All items must be from the same manufacturer and material, meeting strict technical specifications including performance on gas fired furnace basis with minimum heats criteria. The supplier must provide complete technical specifications, country of origin, manufacturer details, and warranty. The supply must be completed within the specified delivery period of 90 days, with possible extension subject to approval. Bid security in the form of CDR, Banker Cheque, or Bank Guarantee is mandatory. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by 10:30 AM on October 17, 2026, with hard copy of bid security submitted physically to Pakistan Mint Lahore before the deadline. Technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 11:00 AM. Manual bids will not be accepted.
Eligibility requires registration on the active taxpayer list (ATL) of FBR and compliance with all mandatory technical and qualification requirements. The supplier shall warrant the crucibles are free from manufacturing defects and will replace any defective items at no extra cost. Final payment will be made after inspection and successful operation test at Pakistan Mint. The Director General Pakistan Mint reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the public interest. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents and ensure timely submission through EPADS. One practical tip is to register early on EPADS v2.0 and ensure all required documents including bid security are prepared to avoid disqualification.
