Tender Description
The Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC/NIHD) Rawalpindi is procuring cardiac implants and disposable items to enhance cardiac services capacity for the financial year 2025-26. The procurement includes specialized medical items such as Membrane, Extracorporeal Oxygenator Kit (HLS ECMO Kit with Accessories), TAVR Valve with Accessories, and Leadless Cardiac Pacemakers (VR2 and AV2 models). This tender is specifically for suppliers who hold authorization or licensing from DRAP and are registered with the Government of Pakistan for Income, Sales, and Professional Taxes. Additionally, bidders must be on the active list of the Federal Board of Revenue for purchase of medical stores including implants and disposables.
The bidding process follows PPRA rules and requires submission of a single package containing two separate envelopes: Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal. The bids must be clearly marked and submitted before or on the deadline of 08 June 2026 by 1000 hours. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 1100 hours in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. Financial proposals will be opened after technical evaluation with prior notice to bidders.
Interested bidders can obtain bidding documents from the Medical Stores during working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 5000. Firms blacklisted by GHQ, Federal or Provincial Governments, or any government institute are ineligible. Contact for queries is available at Medical Store Office extension 3211, phone 051-9271002.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all required documents, including Earnest Money or CDR, are complete and submitted in the prescribed format. Attention to detail in the technical proposal can significantly impact the evaluation outcome. Early submission is advised to avoid last-minute issues. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified suppliers to contribute to critical cardiac healthcare improvements in Rawalpindi.
