Coating of Piping at PMY Terminal

Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) Karachi is inviting quotations for the coating of piping at the PMY Terminal located at Zulfiqarabad Oil Terminal Port Qasim, Karachi. This procurement is managed by the Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and involves specialized surface preparation and painting services for product pipelines and associated components. Items being procured: - Surface Preparation of pipelines (6, 8, 12, 16 inches diameter) and angles, flat bars or any area assigned by terminal engineer (600 M2) - Pipeline Coating with two coats of Epoxy Mastic (Kaizen or approved equivalent) with total Dry Film Thickness of 300 microns (600 M2) - Application of Aliphatic Acrylic Polyurethane Top Coat with DFT 60 microns on product piping and other assigned areas (600 M2) The technical scope includes surface preparation using non-ferrous tools, sandpaper, and power brushing as per ISO8501-2/SSPC-SP2 and SP3 standards. Mechanical cleaning in hazardous zones and power tool use in safe zones is required. The epoxy mastic coating must meet specific product data standards including solids by volume, flash point, gloss level, and shelf life. The polyurethane top coat must also meet defined product data criteria and container size restrictions. Valves and handles with specified colors are included in the scope. Eligibility criteria require contractors to strictly follow PSO safety and security rules, provide all labor, tools, materials, and transportation, and ensure workers use full PPE. The contractor must complete the job within 30 days of purchase order issuance. Payment will be made after job completion and acceptance by the Terminal Engineer. Liquidated damages apply for delays beyond the stipulated period. Vendors must provide a one-year warranty on supplied items with replacement of defective items at their cost.
