Tender Description

The Punjab Irrigation Department invites bids for the concrete lining of 2R/2L Minor canal from RD:0+000 to RD:7+118 Tail in Okara. This tender is issued by the Executive Engineer, Okara Canal Division, LBDC, Okara. Items being procured: - Concrete lining of 2R/2L Minor canal from RD:0+000 to RD:7+118 Tail The scope of work involves civil construction activities including concrete lining of the specified canal section. The project requires adherence to approved construction drawings and Public Works Department specifications for materials and workmanship. Field tests for quality assurance of materials will be conducted under the arrangement of the successful bidder. The work is to be executed in accordance with the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules, 2014 (amended to date) and the Standard Contract Agreement. Eligibility criteria include registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) with the relevant specialization code, valid registration with the Punjab e-Procurement System, and registration with the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) for the financial year 2026-27. Bidders must also provide government receipts for payment of professional tax, CNIC, enlistment/renewal fees, and valid Earnest Money deposit of 5% of the estimated cost through the online Punjab e-Procurement System. Manual bids or bid securities will not be accepted. The bid submission deadline is 18th August 2026 at 12:30 PM, with bid opening scheduled for the same day at 1:00 PM at the office of the Executive Engineer, Okara Canal Division, LBDC, Okara. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Guarantee of 10% of the contract amount in the form of a Bank Guarantee/CDR. The contract execution and activity schedule must commence immediately after acceptance. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure complete and accurate filling of the financial bid forms, including rates against each item of DNIT/BOQs, as incomplete or blank entries will lead to disqualification. Also, timely registration and compliance with all online submission requirements on the Punjab e-Procurement System are critical to avoid rejection.
