Tender Description
The Punjab Irrigation Department invites tenders for the concrete lining of Akbar District Road (18+900 to 46+200) aimed at improving and operational efficiency through lining of priority canals in Gujranwala. This procurement is under the Single Stage-One Envelope bidding procedure from engineering firms and contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council with the respective CE-04 code. The work is scheduled from 01.01.2026 to 30.06.2026 with an estimated cost of Rs. 106.116 million and an earnest money/bid security of Rs. 5.31 million.

- Concrete Lining of Akbar District Road 18+900 to 46+200 (Improving and Operational Efficiency Through Lining of Priority Canals)
The scope includes detailed construction work as per approved PWD specifications and PPRA rules. The site is located in Gujranwala and the work must be completed within the stipulated time frame. Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council for the year 2026-27 in the specified category and discipline. Valid government receipts for professional tax, CNIC, enlistment/renewal fees, and Punjab Revenue Authority registration for 2026-27 must be attached with the bidding documents.
All bids must be submitted digitally through the Punjab E-Procurement System by 14.09.2026 at 01:00 PM. Manual bids or bids submitted by other means will not be entertained. The technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day at 01:00 PM at the office of the Superintending Engineer, Upper Chenab Canal Circle, Lahore. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract amount and adhere strictly to the approved construction schedule.
Bidders should carefully review site conditions and prevailing circumstances before bidding. Conditional or incomplete bids will be considered non-responsive. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids prior to acceptance without assigning reasons. The successful bidder must execute an agreement within 15 days of acceptance and provide a time-bound execution schedule.
