Tender Description

The Directorate General of Archaeology, Punjab invites e-Bids through ePADS from firms registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in relevant category having specialization BC-02 (Restoration & Conservation). The project involves the conservation of the fortification wall of Derawar Fort located in District Bahawalpur. Items being procured: - Conservation of Fortification Wall of Derawar Fort The technical scope includes restoration and conservation works on the historic fortification wall, requiring specialized skills in heritage conservation. The site is located in Bahawalpur district, and the work must comply with PEC category C-2 or above. Firms must have relevant experience in conservation projects and be registered with PEC in the specified category. Earnest money of 5% of the estimated cost is required as bid security, valid for 90 days beyond the bid submission date. Bids must be submitted online at ep.punjab.gov.pk by 3rd September 2026 at 02:00 PM, with technical bids opening at 02:30 PM the same day. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 24th August 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Directorate General of Archaeology, 60-A Garden Town, Lahore. The bids must be accompanied by a scanned copy of CDR or bank guarantee submitted physically at the Directorate General of Archaeology office before bid opening time. The procurement will follow the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure as per PPRA rules 2014. Bids incomplete or submitted in wrong lot or without required documents will be rejected. The lowest evaluated bidder will be awarded the contract after correction of arithmetic errors. The procuring agency is not responsible for any technical or internet failures during e-bid submission. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all rate analysis and summary/sub-summary of each lot are fully completed and submitted online to avoid disqualification. Also, timely submission of the physical CDR/bank guarantee is critical to avoid rejection.
