Tender Description
National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) invites bids for the construction and completion of civil works, erection, stringing, testing and commissioning of 500kV double circuit quad bundle transmission lines on ACSR Drake conductor. The project includes two lots: Lot-I covers a 75 km transmission line from 500kV Sialkot Substation to 500kV Lahore North Substation, and Lot-II covers a 35 km double circuit transmission line for in/out of the existing 500kV Multan-Sahiwal single circuit at Vehari Substation. The works involve clearing right of way, detailed survey, sub-soil investigations, construction of reinforced concrete foundations including pile foundations where required, erection of steel towers, stringing of conductors and OPGW, installation of insulators, hardware, anti-climbing devices, tower grounding, and environmental safeguards. Bidders must be licensed by Pakistan Engineering Council in appropriate categories, registered on the Active Taxpayers List, and not blacklisted by any government or donor agency. The bid submission deadline is **2026-06-04 11:00:00**. Bids must be submitted through e-PADS with original bid security submitted physically before the deadline. The bid security amounts are PKR 58,913,000 for Lot-I and PKR 18,158,000 for Lot-II. The contract duration is 18 months for Lot-I and 12 months for Lot-II. The project is located in Punjab province, specifically Lahore and Vehari. The tender requires detailed technical and financial proposals, including construction schedules, method statements, and equipment lists. The contractor must comply with all environmental, health, safety, and social safeguards as per the ESMP and related plans. The bid evaluation will be conducted on a lot basis with a single stage two envelope procedure. The contract will be awarded to the lowest evaluated substantially responsive bidder meeting all qualification criteria. Bidders are advised to visit the site and familiarize themselves with local conditions. The contract includes mobilization advance, performance security, and liquidated damages provisions. The project is critical for regional power transmission and requires experienced contractors with adequate financial and technical capacity. Bidders should ensure compliance with all tender requirements and submit complete documentation to avoid disqualification. One practical tip is to carefully prepare the technical bid with all required appendices and ensure timely submission of original bid security to avoid rejection. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified firms to participate in a major national infrastructure project with clear guidelines and support from NGC.
