Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) Lahore invites experienced and qualified contractors for the Construction and Completion of Civil Works, Erection, Stringing, Testing & Commissioning for Protection Measures of Tower Nos. 118 & 119 of the 500kV Nokhar-New Lahore Single Circuit Quad Bundle Transmission Line. This project is located near Sheikhupura city in Punjab province and involves detailed survey, sub-soil investigations, construction of reinforced concrete pile foundations, erection of steel towers, stringing of ACSR 'Drake' conductors and OPGW, installation of insulators, hardware, and accessories, as well as testing and commissioning of the transmission line. The technical scope includes clearing right-of-way, mobilization, check survey, reinforced concrete pile pier foundations using Sulphate Resisting Cement, transport and installation of towers, welding of bolts, dismantling of existing towers, conductor and OPGW stringing, and bitumen coating for tower footings. The contractor must be licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-4 or above, registered on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of FBR and provincial authorities, and not blacklisted by any government or donor agency. Experience in construction of 220kV or higher voltage transmission lines of at least 5 km length is required, along with possession or confirmed access to tension stringing equipment and qualified key personnel including project manager, electrical and civil engineers. The contract duration is 45 days from signing with a Defects Liability Period of 180 days. Bids must be submitted online through EPADS v2.0 by May 18, 2026, 01:00 PM, with original bid security submitted to the Executive Engineer TLC Division (EHV-I), NGC Lahore. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 01:30 PM. The contractor is advised to carefully review the bidding documents, attend the pre-bid meeting on May 4, 2026, and ensure timely submission of all required documents including PEC license, affidavits, power of attorney, and beneficial ownership declaration.
