Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) invites bids for the construction of duct line 2x2 with manholes, road/gate/path crossings, and RCC bases as part of the Hassanabdal City Beautification and Public Safety Initiative. This project is to be executed under the jurisdiction of R.E.D No-I IESCO Taxila and according to WAPDA/IESCO SDI specifications. The tender amount is **PKR 19,915,090** and the sanctioned amount is **PKR 49,283,178**. The scope includes civil works involving duct line construction, installation of manholes, and construction of RCC bases, all critical for enhancing city infrastructure and public safety in Hassanabdal.
Eligible bidders must be registered engineering firms with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) holding specialized codes EE-04, EE-05, CE-10, renewed up to June 30, 2026. Firms must be registered with FBR, have active NTN, GST, and PRA status, and demonstrate financial capability with audited statements for the last three financial years. Experience in similar works with DISCOs or government/semi-government organizations is mandatory. Joint ventures are allowed under specified conditions.
The bid submission is strictly electronic via the EPADS portal (http://www.eprocure.gov.pk). Earnest money of 2% of the BOQ cost in the form of CDR/Pay Order/Bank Guarantee from a scheduled bank is required. The bid validity period is 180 days. The deadline for e-bid submission is **April 29, 2026, at 10:30 AM**, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day at the IESCO Head Office, Islamabad.
A practical tip for bidders: ensure all mandatory documents including PEC registration, financial statements, tax returns, and bank statements are uploaded correctly on EPADS. Non-compliance or incomplete submissions will lead to rejection. Also, submit the original earnest money instrument to the office before bid opening.
