Construction and Electrical Works for Six High Secondary Schools Flood Damaged in Larkano

The Executive Engineer Education Works (E) Division Larkano is procuring construction and electrical works for the reconstruction of six existing high and higher secondary schools damaged by rain and floods in 2022. The project is located at GBHSS Arzi Bhutto Taluka Sijawal in Larkano, Sindh. The scope includes civil construction and extensive electrical wiring and installation works such as wiring for light and fan points, plug points, laying PVC insulated copper conductors, fixing brass battern holders, ceiling roses, circuit breakers, switches, sockets, and electric ceiling fans. The estimated cost of the project is bold PKR 742,000 and the contract duration is 15 months from the written order to commence work. Eligible bidders must have valid NTN, Profession Tax, registration with Sindh Revenue Board and FBR, and an Electric Inspectorate License for the concerned region. Experience in similar works executed in the last five years is mandatory, with at least one work costing 80% of the estimated cost or two works each costing 50%. The average annual financial turnover should not be less than the project cost during the last five years. Bidders must submit a properly sealed envelope with bid security of 5% of the estimated cost and comply with all bidding document requirements including signed and stamped rates in figures and words. The deadline for bid submission is seven days after the publish date, with bids to be submitted at the office of the Executive Engineer Education Works Electrical Division Larkano near High Court Building, CMC Road Larkano. The bid opening will be held at the same venue and time as notified in the NIT. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all corrections and overwriting in the bid documents are clearly re-written with initials and stamps to avoid rejection. Also, timely submission before the deadline is critical as late bids will be rejected outright.
