Tender Description
The School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, invites bids for the construction and re-construction of existing schools in Sindh affected by the rain and flood of 2022. This specific tender covers Package No. 47 in District Kambar Shahdadkot, involving the construction of two 3-classroom primary schools including lavatory blocks, compound walls with main gates, external development, water supply and sanitary works, and electrification. The estimated cost of this package is **PKR 32.837 Million**.
The technical scope includes civil works such as dismantling, excavation, reinforced cement concrete, brickwork, plastering, flooring, painting, and finishing. Water supply and sanitation works involve installation of sanitary fixtures, UPVC piping, and related plumbing. Electrical works cover wiring, installation of fittings, circuit breakers, and related electrical infrastructure. The project sites are GGPS Anwarabad and GBPS Gul Buriro in Taluka Warrah.
Eligible bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration in Category C-5 or above with specialization codes EE04, CE09, and CE10. A valid Electrical License from the Government of Sindh for the concerned region is mandatory. Bidders must be active on the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) Active Taxpayer List (ATL). Experience requirements include at least one similar work of minimum 80% of the estimated cost or two works each of 50% minimum cost completed in the last five years with satisfactory completion certificates. Financial soundness with an average annual turnover not less than the project cost over the last five years is required. Technical staff and equipment details must be submitted as per bidding documents.
The bid submission deadline is **02 June 2026 at 11:00 AM** via the EPAD system. Bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM at the office of the Project Director, ADP Scheme #2941, 2nd Floor, Old KDA Building, Sindh Secretariat No. 3, Karachi. Earnest Money (Bid Security) of **PKR 1.640 Million** is required in the form of Call Deposit, Pay Order, Demand Draft, or Bank Guarantee from a scheduled bank in Pakistan. The Performance Security will be 10% of the contract price.
