Tender Description
The Gilgit-Baltistan Communication & Works Department invites sealed tenders from eligible firms and contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category valid up to 31st August, 2026. The tender is for the construction, widening, and rehabilitation of the farm to market road in BGA-I Gilgit. This project involves civil works including road widening and rehabilitation to improve connectivity and access for local communities.

The work will be carried out under the supervision of the Executive Engineer B&R Division GB C&WD Gilgit near Eidgah Konodass Gilgit. Interested bidders must have PEC valid registration up to 30th September, 2026 in Category C-06 or above. Renewal fee for the financial year 2026-27, CNIC of the prospective bidder, and bid security in the form of CDR from a scheduled bank of Pakistan clearly mentioning the name of the contractor/firm are mandatory. No sick scheme or litigation certificates issued by the Chief Engineer C&WD Gilgit Baltistan are allowed.
Tender documents can be obtained from the office of the Executive Engineer B&R Division near Eidgah Konodass Gilgit upon submission of a written application and payment of the cost of bidding documents. The tender will be opened 30 minutes after the closing time on 5th October 2026 at 01:00 PM at the office of the Executive Engineer B&R Division C&WD near Eidgah Konodass Gilgit.
Bidders are advised that in case of joint ventures, only the lead and associate partner mentioned in the partnership deed are allowed to collect tender documents. All bid securities/CDRs will be retained until acceptance of the tender and refunded thereafter. Any ambiguous information provided by bidders will be verified and may lead to cancellation and penal action. The GB C&WD authorities reserve the right to reject any or all bids under GB PPRA Rules.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documents including PEC registration, CNIC, and bid security are complete and valid before submission to avoid disqualification. Timely collection of bidding documents from the specified office is also crucial to meet the submission deadline.
