Tender Description
The Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP) invites bids for construction and rehabilitation works aimed at flood protection and drainage improvement in multiple districts of Balochistan. This tender is issued by the IFRAP Project Director based in Quetta, Balochistan, and covers significant civil works to enhance flood resilience in vulnerable areas.
Items being procured:
- Restoration of Thrara, Gagoo, Shurfi & Faizo Flood Protection Bund (FPB) District Lasbela Package-II (Lot-I)
- Restoration / Strengthening of flood embankment of Main Rabi Canal and Rabi Canal-II District Naseerabad Package-IV (Lot-I)
- Rehabilitation of Main Drains Rupa, Umrani and Magsi Drains Districts Naseerabad & Jaffarabad Package-IV (Lot-II)
- Construction of 2 Nos VRBs at Different Reaches of Uch Canal District Sohbatpur Package-5 (Lot-I)
- Rehabilitation of Flood Protection Bund for Sohbatpur Town, Restoration / Strengthening of Embankment Hairdin Main Drain (RD.0-62) & VRBs and Reconstruction of Flood Protection Bund near Zain-ul-Abideen Khan Khoso District Sohbatpur Package-5 (Lot-II)
The scope includes restoration, strengthening, and construction of flood protection bunds, embankments, and drainage channels across the districts of Lasbela, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, and Sohbatpur. The works are critical for flood resilience and involve civil construction activities over a contract period of 540 days. Bidders must be experienced in large-scale flood protection and canal embankment works, with valid PEC registration in relevant civil works categories and FBR/ATL compliance.
The bidding process follows the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, ensuring transparency and fairness. Interested bidders can obtain bidding documents from the Project Director’s office in Quetta or download them online after submitting a basic information sheet. A non-refundable fee of Rs. 5,000 per contract applies, with an additional Rs. 1,000 for courier delivery.
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 24 July 2026 at the IFRAP Project Implementation Unit office in Quetta, with virtual attendance available upon request via email. Bids must be submitted by 12:00 hours on 13 August 2026 and will be publicly opened the same day. Late or electronic bids will not be accepted. Bidders should prepare their bids on an item rate basis as per the Bill of Quantities.
