Construction of Road Connecting Jinnah Avenue from NIPA CHS Sector-45 to Yar Muhammad Goth Sector-44, Gulzar-e-Hijri Karachi

The Local Government Projects, Government of Sindh, invites bids for the construction of a vital road connecting Jinnah Avenue from NIPA CHS Sector-45 to Yar Muhammad Goth Sector-44 in Gulzar-e-Hijri, Karachi. This project aims to improve accessibility and reduce congestion by providing a direct link from Superhighway Link Road to Jinnah Avenue, which connects to the M-9 Motorway. The road will be dual track, 1800 meters long and 10.2 meters wide, with full electrification and sewerage/storm water lines along its length. Items being procured: - Clearing and grubbing of site - Earthwork excavation and embankment - Sub-base and aggregate base course preparation - Asphalt concrete base and wearing courses - Pavement marking and reflective road studs - Construction of medians, footpaths, islands, and ancillary works including traffic signs and barriers - Electrification works including RCC foundations, tubular poles, lighting fixtures - Sewerage works including excavation, RCC pipes, manholes, and connections - Water supply works including HDPE pipes, sluice valves, and chambers The technical scope includes site preparation, earthworks, pavement construction with asphalt layers, installation of sewerage and water supply infrastructure, and electrification along the road. The project requires compliance with AASHTO and local standards, use of quality materials, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Eligibility criteria include valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant categories, active tax registration with FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, submission of bid security of Rs. 17.3 Million, and technical capability demonstrated through past experience and equipment availability. Bidders must submit bids through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposable System (E-PADS) portal. The bid submission deadline and opening date will be as per the Notice Inviting Tender or any corrigendum issued. Bids must be submitted in English and quoted entirely in Pakistani Rupees. The bid validity period is 90 days. Performance security and contract signing will follow the award.
