Tender Description
The Local Government Projects, Government of Sindh, invites bids for the Rehabilitation and Installation of Pavers on Damaged Portions of Service Roads of Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi. This project aims to improve the service roads which are currently damaged due to sewerage leaks, water issues, and poor drainage causing potholes and uneven surfaces. The rehabilitation will help divert local traffic from the main corridor, reducing congestion and improving traffic flow and safety.
Items being procured:
- Clearing and grubbing of site
- Earthwork excavation and embankment
- Sub-base preparation with gravel
- Aggregate base course
- Asphalt concrete base and wearing courses
- Scarifying existing road surface
- Median, footpath, and island works including precast edge blocks and cement paving blocks
- Drainage works including cement concrete, RCC pipes, manholes, and cleaning of existing drains
- Ancillary works such as reinforced concrete barriers, traffic signs, and pavement marking
- Electrification works including RCC foundations, tubular poles, PVC insulated cables, and lighting
- Sewerage works including excavation, manholes, RCC pipes, and cleaning
- Water supply works including excavation, HDPE pipes, sluice valves, and chambers
The technical scope covers all civil, drainage, sewerage, water supply, and electrical works as per the detailed Bill of Quantities and specifications. The project requires compliance with PEC registration, valid tax registrations (FBR and SRB), and submission of bid security and tender cost as per the NIT. Bidders must submit a technical proposal including construction schedule, method statement, and organization chart. The bid security is Rs. 18.7 Million and tender cost Rs. 5,000.
