Widening and Rehabilitation of Haji Camp Road from Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road to Mai Kolachi Road

The Local Government Projects, Government of Sindh, Karachi, invites bids for the widening and rehabilitation of Haji Camp Road from Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road to Mai Kolachi Road. This project aims to upgrade a vital corridor serving commercial, port, and commuter traffic by addressing previous issues of narrow width, poor pavement condition, and heavy congestion caused by mixed traffic including port-related vehicles. The scope includes widening the carriageway to 8 meters dual track, improving pavement quality, and enhancing traffic flow and lane distribution to support smoother movement of port traffic and improve connectivity between Mai Kolachi and Moulvi Tamizuddin Khan Road. The project also includes drainage works of 650 meters and ancillary electrical and sewerage works. Items being procured: - Clearing and grubbing of site - Earthwork excavation and embankment - Sub-base and aggregate base course preparation - Asphalt concrete base and wearing courses - Scarifying existing road surface - Median, footpath, and island construction including precast edge blocks and cement paving blocks - Drainage works including dismantling, excavation, concrete works, steel reinforcement, and cleaning of existing drains - Ancillary works such as reinforced concrete barriers, traffic signs, pavement marking, and reflectorized road studs - Electrification works including RCC foundations, MS tubular poles, PVC insulated cables, and lighting - Sewerage works including excavation, manhole construction, RCC pipes, and cleaning - Water supply works including excavation, HDPE pipes, sluice valves, and chambers The technical scope covers all civil, electrical, sewerage, and water supply works as per detailed specifications and drawings. Bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant categories, possess valid NTN and SRB registrations, and comply with Sindh Public Procurement Rules. Earnest money of Rs. 8.5 Million and tender cost of Rs. 5,000 are required. Bids must be submitted through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposable System (E-PADS) portal. The tender documents include detailed instructions to bidders, bill of quantities, special conditions of contract, and integrity pact requirements. The contract duration is 365 days from the date of commencement. The bid validity period is 90 days. Performance security and mobilization advance provisions apply as per contract conditions.
