Tender Description
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is procuring construction works focused on the development of tracks and hard standing areas with stone pitching at Shah Bandar and adjacent locations. This procurement is specific to the construction of a track at Shah Creeks Brigade Bandar to avoid tide dependencies, along with the construction of a hard standing area and stone pitching at Sattewah jump of point at Shah Bandar. The scope includes earth-filled track construction for access to company headquarters at Guage Mori, Jati Area, and other related civil works. These projects are part of a larger portfolio of major and minor works successfully completed and under process within the region.
The technical scope involves earthworks, stone pitching, and track laying on challenging terrain to ensure durable and reliable access routes. The scale includes six major works, with one completed and five under process, and 114 minor works completed within stipulated timelines. The estimated cost for the track construction at Shah Creeks Brigade Bandar alone is **PKR 45,800,000**. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and possess valid FBR and ATL registration. Experience in similar civil works projects is essential to meet the technical and quality standards required by WAPDA.
Bidders should note the submission deadline is **seven days from the publish date**, with the closing date set at 23:59:59 on the final day. Earnest Money in the form of a CDR is mandatory, and both technical and financial bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the designated WAPDA office in Shah Bandar. It is advisable to carefully review the tender documents for detailed specifications and ensure compliance with all eligibility criteria.
A practical tip for bidders is to prepare the technical bid with clear evidence of past project completions similar in scope and scale, as WAPDA places significant emphasis on proven experience. Early submission is recommended to avoid last-minute issues, especially considering the complex nature of the terrain and technical requirements.
