Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Director Planning and Design (BRT) under the Karachi Mobility Project. This is a consultancy-based role for highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in urban transport planning and design, specifically for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems in Karachi. Items being procured: - Consultancy services for Director Planning and Design (BRT) for Karachi Mobility Project The selected consultant will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and technical oversight of BRT corridors, ensuring compliance with international standards and local requirements. The scope includes preparation of technical documents, review of designs, coordination with stakeholders, and providing expert advice on project implementation. The assignment is based in Karachi and requires a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a similar leadership role on BRT or large-scale urban transport projects. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field, and registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory.
