Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC) invites bids for consultancy services related to construction supervision and allied activities for a major transmission line project in Jamrud, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This tender specifically covers the supervision and verification of contractor's invoices as well as testing and commissioning of a 220 kV double circuit twin bundle transmission line. The transmission line extends from Mohmand Dam Hydropower Plant (HPP) to the 500/220/132 kV Sheikh Muhammadi Substation (S/S) in two segments: (i) Mohmand Dam HPP to Jamrud, approximately 58 kilometers, and (ii) Jamrud to Sheikh Muhammadi S/S, approximately 42 kilometers.
Items being procured:
- Consultancy services for construction supervision
- Verification of contractor's invoices
- Testing and commissioning of 220 kV D/C twin bundle transmission line
The scope of work includes detailed supervision of construction activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and overseeing the testing and commissioning phases to guarantee operational readiness. The project demands experienced consultancy firms with proven expertise in high voltage transmission line projects and familiarity with NGC standards and procedures.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and possess valid FBR and Active Taxpayer List (ATL) registration. Experience in similar consultancy assignments for transmission lines is essential to meet the technical evaluation criteria.
The tender documents are available on the NGC website www.ntdc.com.pk and the e-PADS portal. Bidders must submit their proposals electronically via e-PADS by the deadline of 20th August 2026 at 11:00 AM PST. Technical proposals will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM PST.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your technical proposal clearly demonstrates your firm's relevant experience and capacity to manage complex transmission line supervision projects, as this will be critical during the evaluation. Also, strictly adhere to the submission deadline and use the e-PADS system to avoid disqualification.
