The National Grid Company (NGC) Hyderabad invites qualified and experienced firms or joint ventures to provide consultancy services for the detailed route survey and engineering/design for rerouting of existing 500 kV and 220 kV transmission lines affected by the proposed Sukkur–Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) in Hyderabad, Sindh. The consultancy scope includes route alignment, topographic survey, soil and subsoil investigations, tower spotting and makeup, preparation of plan and profile drawings, foundation design, sag-tension and stringing charts, electrical clearance calculations, bill of quantities (BOQ), and complete construction drawings and design documentation.
Items being procured:
- Preliminary survey for identification of alternative routes using satellite imagery and maps
- Detailed survey including chainage, leveling, plan and profile drawings using PLS-CADD
- Preparation of survey reports, stringing charts, and construction structure lists
- Provision and fixing of marking stones
- Subsoil investigation including laboratory tests and foundation design calculations
The consultancy requires modern surveying techniques such as RTK, GPS/DGPS, Total Stations, and digital theodolites. The firm/JV must have at least 10 years of experience in transmission line engineering services, including detailed route surveys and subsoil investigations for 220 kV or higher voltage lines covering at least 100 km. Key personnel with relevant qualifications and experience must be employed or committed to the project. The contract duration is 120 days from commencement.
Eligible bidders must be registered with PEC in the appropriate category, be active taxpayers, and not blacklisted by any government or donor agency. Bid security of PKR 600,000 in the form of pay order or bid securing declaration is required. Proposals must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by 10:00 AM on November 16, 2026, with financial proposals opened the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted.
