Tender Description
National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is seeking consultancy services for the development of an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWH) and Data Lakehouse initiative based in Karachi. This procurement is aimed at engaging a consultancy or technology provider to develop a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the bank's business priorities and regulatory requirements. The scope includes designing a target operating model, conducting enterprise-wide requirements analysis, architecting scalable data platforms, and providing strategic advisory throughout the implementation phase.
The consultancy will be responsible for formulating a future state data strategy, recommending organizational structures, performing market benchmarking, and assisting in the preparation of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the subsequent procurement stage. The project demands expertise in data governance frameworks, advanced analytics use cases, and vendor assessment. Eligible bidders must be registered with SECP or recognized government forums, have a verifiable office in Pakistan, be active taxpayers on the FBR ATL, and possess audited financial statements showing a minimum aggregate revenue of PKR 500 million over the last three years. Firms must have at least seven years of service business experience and relevant prior consultancy or implementation contracts with Islamic or commercial banks within the last five years.
The submission deadline is **07 July 2026 at 3:00 PM**, with bids to be submitted electronically via the E-PADS system. The technical and financial proposals will be evaluated under the Quality and Cost Based Selection method as per PPRA regulations. Interested bidders should ensure all required documentation including legal status, tax registration, financial statements, and experience certificates are complete and submitted timely. The Divisional Head, Procurement LCMG, is the contact point for further inquiries.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the eligibility criteria and ensure all affidavits and undertakings are properly signed and notarized to avoid disqualification. Early submission through E-PADS is recommended to mitigate any last-minute technical issues. This tender offers a significant opportunity for consultancy firms specializing in banking data solutions to contribute to a high-profile national project with a leading financial institution.
