Tender Description
The Irrigation Department Government of Sindh Karachi invites proposals for consultancy services to conduct a comprehensive study on the social and environmental impacts of small dams in Sindh. This procurement is specifically aimed at firms capable of delivering expert analysis and evaluation services in the Sindh region.
The technical scope includes detailed assessment of social and environmental factors related to small dams, requiring consultants to provide specialist advice, evaluation, and management of the study. The assignment demands familiarity with local conditions and the ability to produce a thorough report covering impacts and recommendations. The consultancy will involve data collection, stakeholder engagement, and analysis as per the Terms of Reference.
Eligible bidders should be registered with FBR and ATL, and possess relevant experience in environmental and social impact assessments. PEC registration may not be mandatory but firms with prior consultancy experience in similar projects will be preferred. The procurement will follow the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method under Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010.
Interested firms must submit their technical and financial proposals by the deadline of 30th April 2026. Proposals should be delivered to the Executive Engineer Research Division, Irrigation Department Karachi. Earnest Money and CDR requirements will be detailed in the RFP documents.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their technical proposal clearly demonstrates local expertise and past experience with similar environmental studies, as this will be critical in the evaluation process. Also, timely submission is crucial; late bids will not be entertained. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for consultancy firms specializing in environmental and social impact assessments within Sindh.
