Tender Description
The Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology Rawalpindi is procuring daily LP medicines, disposables, lab kits, and implants for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement is specifically for the Rawalpindi medical store to ensure continuous supply of essential ophthalmic medicines and related consumables.
The technical scope includes supply of LP medicines on a daily basis, covering a wide range of pharmaceutical items required for ophthalmology patients. The tender documents can be obtained from the AFIO Rawalpindi Medical Store Office during working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 5,000. The tender submission must include two separate envelopes within a single package: one for the Technical Proposal and one for the Financial Proposal, clearly marked to avoid confusion.
Eligible bidders must be SECP registered firms, preferably DGDP registered, and must be registered with the Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan. Active registration with income tax, sales tax departments, and inclusion on the FBR active taxpayers list is mandatory. Bidders should also indicate the maximum rebate or discount offered on the retail price of medicines.
The last date for submission is the 30th of April 2026 by 10:00 AM, with the tender opening scheduled the same day at 2:00 PM in the presence of bidders’ representatives. Submissions must be deposited with the Medical Officer In-charge at the AFIO Medical Store Rawalpindi. Interested suppliers should ensure timely submission and compliance with PPRA rules 36b and 33(1).
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the technical and financial proposals in separate envelopes as required, ensuring all documents are complete and legible. This avoids disqualification due to procedural errors and demonstrates professionalism to the evaluation committee.
