Tender Description
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), based in Lahore, Punjab, is procuring consultancy services for data validation, modeling, and designing a mitigation strategy against HVDC interference affecting its extensive transmission and distribution gas pipelines. This tender specifically addresses the potential corrosion threats and operational risks posed by the CASA-1000 HVDC power project near SNGPL's pipelines in the Charsadda-Khazana area. The scope includes assessment of safe distances between HVDC lines and pipelines, verification and collection of data, modeling and simulation of interference effects, and proposing detailed mitigation measures with a bill of quantities. The consultancy firm must have proven expertise in corrosion control, cathodic protection, and DC interference studies, with at least 10 years of experience and NACE (AMPP) CP level 4 certification. The bidder should be a legally incorporated entity, registered with Pakistan Engineering Council if local, and must have completed at least three similar projects for oil and gas pipeline companies. The tender requires submission of a technical bid and financial bid in separate sealed envelopes, addressed to the General Manager (Corrosion Control) at SNGPL's Lahore office. The earnest money deposit (bid bond) is Rs. 100,000, and the tender document can be purchased for Rs. 2,500. The closing date for submission is 26-03-2026 at 1100 hours. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their proposals, ensuring compliance with all eligibility criteria and submission requirements. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all technical qualifications, certifications, and past project evidence are clearly documented and attached, as the technical evaluation is stringent and critical for qualification. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified firms to contribute to the safety and integrity of Pakistan's vital gas infrastructure under the supervision of SNGPL.
