Development of dedicated areas to promote female entrepreneurship in different markets of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department invites bids for the development of dedicated areas to promote female entrepreneurship in various markets of Karachi. This project aims to enhance market infrastructure and facilities specifically designed to support female entrepreneurs, reflecting the department's commitment to inclusive economic growth in Sindh's capital city. The technical scope includes dismantling existing structures, civil works such as excavation, reinforced concrete, masonry, plumbing, sanitary installations, and finishing works including painting and flooring. The project also involves installation of electrical and mechanical fittings, water supply, and sanitation systems. The scale of work is significant with an estimated cost of **PKR 20,000,000** and a completion period of 90 days. Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and possess valid FBR and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) registrations. Experience in similar government sector projects is mandatory, with at least one project of 80% of the estimated cost or two projects each of 50% of the estimated cost completed in the last five years. Bidders should also provide evidence of financial stability, technical staff qualifications, and ownership or lease of required machinery. The tender documents are available for download from the SPPRA Sindh e-Procurement system (EPADS). Bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS portal by **28-04-2026 at 11:00 AM**. The technical and financial bids will be opened online on the same day at 11:30 AM. Physical submissions are not accepted. The bid security is 5% of the estimated cost, payable via pay order to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. The submission method is strictly electronic through the SPPRA EPADS system.
