Development / Rehabilitation of Link Road from Hazrat Abu Bakar Ave to May Realtor at Halkani Town Scheme-43, LDA, Karachi

The Lyari Development Authority (LDA), Karachi, invites bids for the development and rehabilitation of the Link Road from Hazrat Abu Bakar Avenue to May Realtor at Halkani Town Scheme-43, Karachi. This project involves comprehensive road works including sub-base preparation, aggregate base course, prime and tack coat application, and laying of 2" thick plant mixed asphalt concrete with proper compaction and finishing. Items being procured: - Preparing Sub-base by supplying and spreading well graded pit or bed run gravel (47,500 cft) - Preparing Aggregate Base Course with stone metal and quarry fines (47,500 cft) - Applying Prime Coat or tack coat with approved binder (95,000 sft) - Laying 2" thick plant mixed asphalt concrete paver finished (95,000 sft) The scope includes all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the works as per the specifications and drawings provided by the Lyari Development Authority. The contractor must ensure quality control, site safety, and timely completion within 365 days from the date of commencement. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in category C-5 or above, NTN and SRB registration, electrical contractor license if applicable, and no blacklisting by any government department. Financial stability is required with audited reports and income tax returns for the last three years. Experience of similar works with minimum turnover matching the project cost is mandatory. Bids must be submitted in English, in a single stage one envelope procedure, with one original copy. Bid security and performance security as per the bidding documents are required. The contract includes a 5% SRB tax. Mobilization advance up to 10% of contract price may be provided against a bank guarantee.
