Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) is offering the disposal of redundant transmission lines material located in Islamabad. This procurement invites interested suppliers and contractors to participate in an e-auction for the sale of transmission line materials on an 'as is where is' basis. The scope includes dismantling, removal, and transportation of the redundant transmission line materials from the site within the stipulated timeframe. Bidders must ensure they have inspected the materials and are satisfied with the quality and quantity before submitting their offers.
The tender requires submission of earnest money in the form of a CDR or bank guarantee from a scheduled bank with an A+ rating or above, valid for 120 days. The earnest money must be in the name of the bidder and submitted before the closing time. The successful bidder will be required to make full payment within 21 working days of the Letter of Acceptance issuance. Removal of materials must be completed within 35 working days, failing which rental charges of 1% per day of the total value will be imposed.
Eligibility criteria include being registered with FBR and not blacklisted by any government department or organization such as NGC, WAPDA, DISCOs, or GENCOs. Experience in handling similar disposal contracts and the ability to dismantle transmission lines independently is essential. The tender is ideal for firms with expertise in electrical scrap and recycling.
Bidders should note the importance of submitting a complete technical bid with all required documents, including the earnest money. The submission deadline and address will be provided in the official tender documents. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the Annexure-A undertaking and ensure compliance with all terms, especially regarding payment timelines and material removal to avoid penalties.
This opportunity is significant for suppliers specializing in electrical scrap disposal and recycling, offering a transparent and regulated process under the auspices of IESCO in Islamabad. The department emphasizes adherence to government tax regulations including GST and income tax deductions applicable on the contract value.
