Tender Description

The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) Islamabad is offering an open auction for the disposal and condemnation of retrieved telephone and copper cables of various capacities located at F-8 Division, Islamabad. This procurement is specifically for the removal and sale of these cables on an AS IS WHERE IS BASIS. The auction is managed by the Directorate of NTC, Regional HQs Building, F-5/1, Islamabad. The technical scope includes the retrieval, loading, unloading, and transportation of telephone and copper cables of different gauges and lengths as detailed in the auction documents. The total quantity includes cables of gauges 1200, 600, 300, and 100 with varying meter lengths. The successful bidder will be responsible for all logistics and must complete the work within seven working days from the issuance of the work order. The cables will be sold as-is, and NTC disclaims responsibility for discrepancies in cable length or condition. Eligibility requires firms to be registered with Pakistan's tax authorities as active taxpayers for NTN and GST. Bidders must submit a bid security of PKR 1,400,000 in the form of a Pay Order or Bank Draft in favor of Director NTC Islamabad. The auction bids will be received and opened on 16th July 2026 at 1100 and 1130 hours respectively. Inspection of cables is allowed during office hours up to 15th July 2026 at the NTC office near Social Security Hospital, IJP Road, Islamabad. A key tip for bidders is to conduct a thorough site inspection before submitting bids to accurately assess the cable conditions and quantities. Also, ensure that the earnest money is correctly submitted to avoid bid rejection. The auction process includes an open auction among the top five bidders, and the highest bidder must deposit the remaining bid amount within seven days after the Letter of Intent is issued. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and cancellation of the bid. This opportunity is ideal for firms experienced in handling electrical scrap and disposal, with the financial capacity to meet earnest money requirements and timely payments. The submission deadline and auction date are fixed, so punctuality and compliance with all terms are essential for success.
