Tender Description
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority based in Peshawar invites interested parties to participate in an open auction for the disposal of scrap and condemned/unserviceable items on an as-is, where-is basis. This procurement opportunity is specifically for the removal and purchase of various scrap materials and unserviceable assets currently held by the Authority. The auction will be held at the office premises located at Olympic Plaza, Peshawar Sports Complex, Stadium Road, Peshawar Cantt.
Participants must ensure they hold valid and renewed registration certificates with recognized professional bodies including active FBR NTN and KPRA/STRN certificates listed on the Active Taxpayer List. The auction date is fixed for 21st May 2026 at 11:00 AM sharp. Interested bidders are advised to inspect the scrap items during office hours on 19th and 20th May 2026 to assess the materials before bidding.
A key requirement for participation is to bring the original CNIC along with a photocopy. The successful bidder must deposit 25% of the bid amount immediately on the spot, with the balance payable right after the auction. Removal of the scrap items must be completed within two days of the auction, failing which the initial deposit will be forfeited. Rates quoted should be inclusive of all applicable government taxes such as GST and Income Tax.
This tender is ideal for suppliers and contractors experienced in scrap handling and disposal with proper tax compliance. Although no PEC category is required, bidders should have a sound understanding of auction procedures and timely payments. The submission deadline and auction timing are strict, so punctuality is essential.
A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly inspect the scrap items on the given dates to avoid surprises during removal. Understanding the condition and volume of scrap will help in preparing a competitive and realistic bid. Ensure all documentation including CNIC and tax certificates are ready to avoid disqualification at the auction venue.
