Tender Description
Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) invites bids for the disposal of unserviceable and scrap items located at Warehouse CKM and Disposal Store Fazaiya in Lahore. This procurement is specifically for the removal and sale of various scrap materials including ACSR Lynx dismantled units and other electrical scrap items. The disposal will be conducted on an 'As is Where is' basis, allowing interested bidders to inspect the materials during working hours at the specified LESCO stores.
The technical scope covers lifting and removal of scrap materials from LESCO premises within 21 working days of the issuance of the Work Order. Bidders must arrange their own transportation, labor, and comply with safety protocols including provision of PPE. The scrap includes a variety of electrical and metallic items, with quantities detailed in the bidding documents. Sub-contracting is strictly prohibited and bidders are responsible for all applicable taxes and duties.
Eligibility requires firms to be registered with FBR, hold an active tax certificate, and submit affidavits confirming no blacklisting and compliance with public health, safety, and environmental regulations. Bid security must be submitted as per the bidding documents, and original bid security must be delivered to the Chief Engineer (MM) LESCO HQ before bid submission deadline.
The submission deadline is fixed and late bids will not be entertained. Bidders should submit their bids through the E-PADS system (version 2.0) and ensure all documentation is complete. The Letter of Acceptance will be issued to the highest evaluated bidder per lot, who must deposit the payment within 21 working days.
A practical tip for bidders is to thoroughly inspect the scrap materials at the LESCO stores before bidding to accurately assess the condition and quantity, which will help in preparing a competitive and realistic bid. Also, ensure timely submission of original bid security to avoid disqualification.
This tender is a valuable opportunity for scrap dealers and firms specializing in metal recycling and disposal services in Lahore under the auspices of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).
