Tender Description
Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) invites bids for the disposal of unserviceable and scrap items located at its Regional Store Shalamar in Lahore. This procurement is specifically for the removal and lifting of various scrap materials including iron scrap of structures and trollies, offered on an 'As is Where is' basis. The disposal is conducted under the National Open Competitive Bidding procedure following PPRA Rules-2004 through the E-PADS (Version 2.0) electronic bidding system.
The technical scope covers multiple lots of scrap material with quantities ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 units per lot. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the scrap during office hours to assess the condition and quantity before submitting their bids. The successful bidders will be responsible for lifting the scrap within 21 working days from the issuance of the Work Order, at their own cost including transportation and labor. Strict compliance with safety SOPs and provision of PPE to labor is mandatory.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR, possess an active tax certificate, and submit affidavits confirming no blacklisting and compliance with public health, safety, and environmental regulations. Bid security in the form of CDR, pay order, or bank guarantee is mandatory for each lot. The submission deadline is fixed at 21-May-2026 11:00 AM, with bids submitted electronically via E-PADS and original bid security submitted physically to the Chief Engineer (MM) LESCO HQ Lahore.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of both the electronic bid and the original bid security to avoid disqualification. Late submissions or incomplete documentation will not be entertained. Also, bidders should carefully review the special conditions of the work order, especially regarding lifting timelines and penalties for delays, to avoid financial losses.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for firms experienced in scrap disposal and logistics to engage with a major power distribution company in Punjab, with clear guidelines and a transparent bidding process.
