Tender Description
Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) invites bids for the disposal of unserviceable and scrap transformers of various capacities including 25 KVA, 50 KVA, 100 KVA, and 200 KVA along with other partial items. The disposal also includes off-road and condemned vehicles located at Regional Stores in Rohri and Larkana, Sindh. This procurement is specifically managed by the Material Management Directorate of SEPCO Sukkur. The scope covers the sale of damaged and unserviceable transformers and vehicles on an 'As is Where is' basis. Bidders are encouraged to physically inspect the items at the Regional Stores during office hours to verify condition and quantity before submitting bids. The tender is divided into lots with detailed weight and manufacturer information provided for each transformer category.
Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered with FBR, active on the ATL, and provide NTN and STRN certificates where applicable. Firms must submit an affidavit and provide bid security in the form of CDR, Pay Order, or Bank Guarantee from scheduled banks valid for 150 days. The bidding process follows a single stage, one envelope procedure through the EPADS version 2.0 e-tendering system. Manual bids are not accepted.
The last date for bid submission is 29th June 2026 by 10:30 AM, with bid opening at 12:00 PM the same day. Bids must be valid for 120 days from the opening date. Successful bidders must pay the balance amount within 21 working days of the Letter of Acceptance issuance. Failure to lift the scrap within the stipulated period will result in penalties.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 and to submit both electronic and hard copies of bidding documents to avoid disqualification. Careful attention to bid security validity and compliance with all terms and conditions will enhance chances of success in this competitive disposal tender.
